two posters to promote the open house 2017 at zkm | center for art and media karlsruhe.
the assignment was to connect the subject “open house” with the topic of the main exhibition, which showed arts in europe and its connecting cultural forces in the period from 1945 to 1968. the open house and the exhibition have one characteristic in common: both of them set up relations. the open house between the visitors, the zkm and the displayed arts, while the exhibiton sets up relations between arts in several european countries, their art movements and equal issues. these characteristics are communicated in the poster with the use of connecting arrows. together with an “open” headline, assembled clockwise, illustrating the open house for one day.
the posters were printed in pantone black/turqouise and black/neon red on din a1, to attract the public in dark winter months.
